Gomel seminar to highlight public-private partnership

GOMEL, 21 February (BelTA) – The issue of cooperation between business and the authorities will be put to the forefront at a national seminar in Gomel on 21 February, BelTA learnt from the press service of the oblast executive committee. The meeting participants are expected to discuss the recent changes in the country’s tax legislation, the order of rent payment and changes in its size taking into account the new basic amount, the ways to implement the provisions of Directive No.4 and other issues. The participants of the seminar will pay a visit to the Alkopack Company to get familiar with its production process and technical upgrade in 2011. They will also learn about the work of the Gomel Sci-Tech Park. Both of these facilities are the residents of the Gomel-Raton free economic zone. Partaking in the seminar will be Chairman of the State Control Committee Alexander Yakobson, Belarus’ Prosecutor General Alexander Konyuk, Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Dvornik, representatives of other government bodies. The business community will be represented at the seminar by heads of entrepreneurs’ associations, private companies and farms, sole traders.
